Project Description
Use a Twitter account to send notifications to users of your Windows Phone app!

13/3/2014 - At this stage, I will have to put this project on hold as Twitter has changed their API and Windows Phone 8.1 is right around the corner and the notification centre is a part of this release, which will introduce more ways for developers to add notifications to their apps.

With the recent changes to the Twitter API, I'm going to have to make some major changes to the code. For the moment, this will remain a blank Windows Phone 8 project. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Keeping your users informed and up-to-date about your app, is an important aspect that many developers don't necessarily focus on or dedicate time to.

In the Windows Phone OS, Microsoft allows you to achieve this with Tile and Toast notifications. However, it does require a bit of work to get it up and running. If you're looking for a simpler way to achieve this, Windows Phone Notifications with Twitter may just be it.

Through this project, I will show you how you can use tweets (Twitter updates) to send messages to your Windows Phone app!

If you're a developer and do not yet have a social media presence (Twitter, Facebook), I encourage you to do so.
